Micro-chipping is process of identification and tagging of animals having a transponder with a unique ID number. The micro chipped animal can be easily tracked with reader, a special scanning instrument.

“There has been a rise in the case of tracking among captive elephants and micro-chipping will develop a networking to check such practices,” he said.
