Rare cobra rescued in Vasant kunj

A five-feet white morph cobra, considered a rare species, was rescued from a house in Vasant Kunj’s B Block on Tuesday. The Mehtas were shocked to find a shining white serpent coiled in a corner of their front garden. “The residents did not know it, but it was for the first time that a white morph cobra has been rescued in Delhi . We had expected it to be just another snake-rescue call, but to our delight, it turned out to be this,” said Kartick Satyanaryan, head of Wildlife SOS. Known Naja Naja in scientific lexicon, the white morph cobra is native of the Indian subcontinent. “There is a superstition that its visit brings good luck and prosperity to the household. Fortunately, the residents called us while keeping a watch,” he said if you sight a snake do not kill it. Call Wildlife SOS
